Description: This collection of four ophthalmic surgical instruments contains: 

  1. Canaliculus Knife; used for manipulation of the lacrimal canaliculi (tear duct) of the eye; Collin & Cie
  2. Ophthalmic hook; used to for lens manipulation or retraction; Collin & Cie
  3. Iridectomy knife; used to remove a portion of the iris; Lüer
  4. Von Graefe’s Cataract knife; was used to create a linear incision superior to the cornea (no longer used); Lüer 

Origin: Circa 19th Century; Paris, France

Manufacturer: Lüer and Collin & Cie.
