Description: The use of an oral surgeon’s mallet was, and still is, to condense the materials used to fill cavities in dental restoration. Additionally, these mallets essentially double as small surgical hammers which are used in tandem with osteotomes (“bone cutters”) to make precise cuts of bones such as the nasal bone, the maxilla and the mandilla.
